For the first time in 34 years the Los Angles Lakers find themselves their season with an 0-3 record with tonights loss coming from the inner building foe’s the Los Angeles Clippers to a score of 105-95. Although it is still early in the season many have questioned head coach Mike Brown’s leadership and wether or not him deciding to run the Princeton Offense was a best fit for the newly revamped Lakers squad. Over the offseason the Lakers acquired all star veteran point guard Steve Nash along with center Dwight Howard. Since the two have joined the team the Lakers went 0-11 during the preseason with losses still occurring during the regular season to the Dallas Mavericks who played with out Dirk Nowitzki, the Portland Trailblazers, and the Clippers tonight. During the three matches at one point during the game usually the third quarter the team finds themselves trailing by a large margin mainly because of all the turnover that occur having the opposing team score at times 30 points in the quarter.
Kobe Bryant found himself nearly the entire game with a total of 43 minutes ending the night with 40 points 6 rebounds and 5 turnovers. During post game press conference Mike Brown touched on that topic saying that Kobe Bryant played too many minutes but said weren’t getting offense from elsewhere. The rest of the starters excluding Nash who was a game time decision still dealing with ankle/leg issues played over 30 minutes just making it into double digit scoring with Pau dropping 18,Howard with 10, Blake and World Peace with 8 a piece. With a few days to get some practice in and work out the much issues before Sunday when they face the Detroit Pistons it will be interesting to see how things play out with the Bryant insisting these type of things take time; will owners and fans be patient enough to wait for things to fall in place.
