Just moments ago Deron Williams took to his Twitter account to announce that he finally came to a decision that was tough to choose from. He turned down a 4-year deal that would have allowed him to play in his hometown of Dallas for 75 million, to sign a max deal with the Brooklyn Nets for 5 years worth 100 million. The Nets have been making the most noise during this free agency period which began July 1st but will not allow players to officially sign until July 11th. Other news related to the team is that they would be resigning forward, Gerald Wallace and traded away numerous players in a deal that would bring Hawks superstar Joe Johnson to Brooklyn as well. It was mentioned that this trade would not allow the Nets to bring in Dwight Howard, who has been requesting since last season to be traded to the Nets, but if the Magic can find a third team things may change.
